Here, in the Three Peaks nature reserve in the middle of the Sexten Dolomite mountains, nature has many wild and enchanting features to offer! The pass between Bad Moos and the Fondovalle hut is less than 4.5 km long, but offers a variety of particularly stunning vistas. Colourful flower meadows at the foot of rugged rock faces. Thick larch forests against the unique backdrop of the Sexten Sun Dial mountains. The gleaming turquoise river in the Val Fiscalina, meandering in its snow-white limestone bed. And – seemingly close enough to touch them – the summits of the Sexten Dolomites. The picturesque Val Fiscalina is an ideal starting point for numerous walks and mountain tours at the heart of the UNESCO world heritage Dolomite mountains and offers the fastest access to the Three Peaks. However, it can also be enjoyed on its own. The actor Luis Trenker already referred to it as “The most beautiful valley in the world”.
The most comfortable way of discovering the Val Fiscalina is from a horse-drawn carriage! Beatrix and her sons, Stefan and Georg, continue to run the shuttle service started by their grandfather, with only one charming horse power. Pure deceleration and nostalgia.
